Vegetal compost enriched with biofertilizers.
Biocompost is a product that incorporates two of the best biological supplies that exist for crops. On one hand, a very high-quality compost which main ingredient is sugar cane bagasse and on the other hand biofertilizers, that are products that based on the activity of crop beneficial microorganisms.
Cane root bagasse is a residue from the sugar production process, particularly from the process of juice clarification. During zafra (sugar producing season) thousands of tons of bagasse are produced, which are frequently considered waste or contaminants. Nevertheless, this bagasse has a high carbon (energy source), phosphorous, nitrogen and calcium content (essential nutrients for plants) and if processed correctly it becomes a valuable resource for crop fertilization and soil remediation.
The bagasse compost used in Biocompost is obtained through a biotechnological treatment that involves the decomposition of organic matter by a microbial decomposition process in aerobic conditions. This process allows the generation of a high-quality product that is free from pathogenic bacteria that could potentially produce disease in the plant and rich in organic matter and nutrients that allow a natural fertilization of the soil and contribute to its regeneration.
Enrichment with biofertilizers
Additionally, the Biocompost is enriched with biofertilizing microorganisms that are inoculated in high quantities once the composting process is finished. The microorganisms that are used to complement the product are the bacteria Azospirillum brasilense and Mycorrhizal Arbuscular Fungi contained in Biofabricas products Azofer and Micorrizafer.
