OUR COMPANY

Biofabrica siglo XXI was created to confront a growing problem: The need to provide ecological and profitable alternatives for the improvement of agricultural production. We found these alternatives in agrobiotechnology, which provides us with the necessary tools for a radical transformation of the existing agricultural production model for a more productive and sustainable one.

Our goal is to develop alternatives for agricultural production, by articulating scientific research with production with a market, ecological and social responsibility perspective.

MARKET PRESENCE

Biofabrica Siglo XXI is present in Mexico’s 32 states, with more than 50 thousand hectares biofertilized annually, our products are currently exported to El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama and we have a project to expand to other countries in Central and South America.

BIOFABRICAS HISTORY.

We are the first company in Mexico dedicated to research, development, production and commercialization of microbial biofertilizers. Biofabrica was born in 2003 from a technological licensing agreement celebrated with the Center for Genomic Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (CCG-UNAM). Through this agreement UNAM allowed Biofabrica the use of this biotechnological development created from more than 30 years research. This development is based on the use of beneficial microorganisms for agriculture.
With the beneficial microorganisms licensed by UNAM, Biofábrica developed its first agrobiotechnological products in the year 2004.
Since its creation, Biofabrica Siglo XXI has maintained the process of innovation as its development axis, reason why it was awarded a National Registry for Scientific and Technological Institutions and Companies (RENIECYT) awarded by the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT). Since then, Biofabrica has participated in various research projects funded by CONACyT and by other government organizations like the Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGARPA), Mexico City’s Science and Technology Institute (ICyT-DF) and the Secretary for Innovation, Science and Technology from the state of Morelos.
